What this place offers
The place was ideal for my situation. We were in town for my daughter's wedding and I was able to host my entire family. The place felt intimate but not overwhelming because our families were each in their own apartment so allowed for closeness but not too close. We were easily able to walk to a number of great places for our meals and also for some shopping. I originally thought that the lack of on site parking would be a problem, but we never had an issue finding parking on this otherwise busy street. David was especially attentive.
Good location. Great communication. Beds were too soft for us. Would recommend David as a host.

Neighborhood highlights
Welcome to the Boise neighborhood — a vibrant, walkable gem on Portland’s east side. Often referred to as “Boise-Eliot,” the area blends the best of two iconic streets: Mississippi Avenue and Williams Avenue. Each has its own unique rhythm, with Mississippi known for its historic charm and Williams for its sleek modern edge. Together, they form one of Portland’s most beloved neighborhoods. This is a community that celebrates diversity, creativity, and local entrepreneurship. You’ll find a friendly mix of families, artists, young professionals, and long-time residents who proudly support the independent businesses that line every block. Just steps from your door, you’ll discover some of the city’s most celebrated restaurants — including Eem (Thai BBQ), La Cocina (Oaxacan), Life of Pie, XLB, and Kayo’s Ramen — along with boutique coffee shops, vintage stores, yoga studios, barbershops, and hidden gems you’ll only find in Portland. Mississippi Avenue’s famed food cart pod, breweries, and music venues are just a short walk away. Need groceries? New Seasons Market (Portland’s local answer to Whole Foods) is only a few blocks from the house. Whether you’re here for the food, the culture, or the people — this neighborhood is the perfect home base for your Portland adventure.
