The Airbnb was as described and is in a great location. Street parking was never an issue. However, we had a few issues: the WiFi stopped working on 3rd day of our trip which made remote work almost impossible. We had to use our own hotspot in order to get stable WiFi. The location is also incredibly loud. The window is facing a parking lot and then a busy street. This combo can make you make unsafe at times. Also, the walls are not well insulated at all and can hear almost everything very clearly from other tenants. One tenant played movies all day and night. If you’re sensitive to sound, I highly do not recommend this Airbnb. Also, the Airbnb was clean, but not without dust. The shelves were clearly never wiped down etc. Overall, the Airbnb is in a good location and had the basics of what we needed but if you are sensitive to dust, allergens, or have sensitive skin, I recommend finding another place to stay.
Very beautiful and comfortable space, great location, very walkable. Instructions were clear, everything about it was great!
Mike was very accommodating and quick to respond. His place was clean, comfortable and in a great location!
great place
It was a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, and communication with Mike was smooth and easy. he was always quick to respond. The only suggestion I’d make is to replace the current curtains with blackout ones, as the parking lot next door has very bright lights at night and the existing curtains don’t fully block them out. That said, this was a minor issue and didn’t take away from what was overall a fantastic stay.
Mike's place was cozy, in a great part of town, with restaurants and bars but quiet where getting a good night's rest was never an issue, and Mike was very responsive with questions we had.
Portland, Oregon, United States
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District places you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors, with no chain restaurants in sight! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, indulge in delicious wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch. Portland isn't just for foodies. Hawthorne boasts a vibrant indie spirit, with numerous made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue, serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping isn’t your idea of fun, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park atop a dormant volcano vent. Here, you'll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Whether you’re into dining, shopping, or outdoor adventures, the Hawthorne/Buckman District has something for everyone. Enjoy your stay in this eclectic and lively neighborhood!
