loved my quick stay here, very much how the photos looked. Wish there were more plugs to charge devices but it's an old building and we made it work. would definitely stay again
Great place with lists of character
Great place to stay. I love the neighborhood.
We loved our stay! The neighborhood felt very safe and the place is super spacious. Would definitely stay again
the walls were very thin so we could hear everything from all the other units inside the building. very old building and not enough bedsheets or blankets. the pictures on the listing were at angles that made the unit seem more spacious. needs more maintenance as well on the building
We had a great time staying at David’s cozy place. It was located in a great area conveniently located to good food spots.

Neighborhood highlights
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors—no chain restaurants here! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or enjoy a fancy night out at Castagna, all within a 1.5-mile stretch. But Portland isn't just for foodies. The vibrant indie spirit thrives in Hawthorne, with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore in this hipster haven. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a 196-acre city park on top of a dormant volcano vent. Here, you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city. Enjoy the perfect blend of urban excitement and natural beauty in the Hawthorne/Buckman District!
