Sellwood-Moreland is Portland's charming southern neighborhood -- a community that feels like a small town while being just 15 minutes from downtown. The main commercial stretch along SE 13th Avenue is known as Antique Row, with over a dozen vintage and antique shops that draw collectors from across the region. But Sellwood is much more than antiques -- it's a walkable neighborhood with excellent restaurants, a beloved waterfront park, and some of the leafiest, most beautiful residential streets in the city.
The Sellwood riverfront is one of Portland's hidden gems. Sellwood Riverfront Park stretches along the Willamette River with walking paths, picnic areas, and an off-leash dog park. The Springwater Corridor trail, a paved multi-use path, runs along the river and connects south to Milwaukie and north toward downtown. Oaks Amusement Park, a charming old-school amusement park that's been operating since 1905, sits right on the riverfront and is a favorite with families.
Our Sellwood-Moreland rentals are in one of Portland's most established and livable residential areas. Think tree-canopied streets, well-kept bungalows and craftsman homes, and neighbors who wave hello. It's a perfect base for guests who want a quieter, more residential Portland experience while still having easy access to restaurants, shops, and the rest of the city.
Antique Row is a stretch of SE 13th Avenue in Sellwood lined with over a dozen antique and vintage shops, from large multi-dealer spaces to small specialty boutiques. It's one of the best antique shopping destinations in the Pacific Northwest and worth a full morning of browsing.
Sellwood Riverfront Park offers river access, walking paths, and an off-leash dog park. The Springwater Corridor trail is excellent for running and cycling. Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge is a 163-acre wetland with bird-watching trails. And Oaks Amusement Park has rides and roller skating for families.
Sellwood is about 15 minutes from downtown by car. The Orange MAX line has a Sellwood station, and the #70 bus runs frequently along SE 13th. Many cyclists ride the Springwater Corridor or waterfront path to commute downtown.
Sellwood has a growing restaurant scene with neighborhood favorites and destination-worthy spots. Look for excellent brunch, wood-fired pizza, craft cocktail bars, and casual neighborhood dining along SE 13th and Milwaukie avenues. The neighborhood also has great coffee shops and bakeries.
